In 938, it was partially integrated into the unified Korean kingdom Goryeo, and finally in 1402 it completely loses its autonomy and was fully integrated as an administrative district of Chosun. It existed as an independent state of Tamla until the year 662, after which it became a vassal of Silla, an ancient kingdom Korea. Jeju have never been under any form of Japanese control be it direct ownership or vassalage. Assigning the Jeju Island to the Japan region is outright wrong.
